Well winter has hit with a bang! Freezing temps and freezing winds but before the ice man cometh there were some great catches at Morton Fishings:

Willie Brash, Mayfield, had 10 on buzzers and blobs and followed this up with another 5 the next day on the same tactics.

Jock "Mr Scotland" Kettles had a terrific day with 12 on the millenium bug and his boat partner, Derek Sibson, matched his talents with another 12 on the same fly. Mike Connaught also had 12 on the same tactics - what a team!

George Sharp had 12 on Yellow Dancers and David Bullen 7 on blobs. R Brown had 10 on buzzers, whilst Ian Dobbie, who else?, took six on a very difficult day with a bloodworm pattern. T. Pride and B. Sked had 4 and 10 respectively, on pink buzzers and black buzzers.

George Burns had the heaviest fish of the week at 12lbs.

The water is currently iced up but the forecast is for a slight thaw, so please contact John MacKay before making the trip. Spring is just around the corner!
